Summer Internship
What does being an intern look like?
Host Groups
You will help host our visiting groups by spending time with them on their trip, overseeing their projects, giving tours, and preparing campgrounds.
Get to Know Our Kids
You will help facilitate activities with our kids such as after-school reading, movie nights, and Bible studies. You will also be able to play on the playground with them!
Live in Community
You will live onsite at the orphanage which means you will live in a house with other interns as your roommates.
In a nutshell, our interns are here to support our long-term American volunteers, our amazing Mexican staff, our kids, and each other.
For those of you who have heard of or participated in our internship program in the past, this internship will be very different. With this internship, you will work more closely with our long-term volunteers and get a better idea of what it looks like to serve here long-term.
We are looking for interns who will be committed to the wellbeing of our staff and kids, are willing to learn, hardworking, and follow through on their commitments. If you are interested in stepping up to this position, we'd love to hear from you! Please feel free to fill out the application below and email it to nicole@dofo.org. After filling out your application, you will also need to have two references submitted on your behalf.
If you have any questions, please reach out to nicole@dofo.org
